the most daring thieves

on the beach are after

your fries

isn’t my hair pretty?

isn’t that old fishing boat

a lovely shade of pink?

a strange carpet,

a forest washed ashore:

shelter in life and in death

A kickstarter stretch goal to Spindlewheel, "Tidewrack" is an expansion pack of 15 cards that explore the bittersweet sundrenched memories of the shoreline, illustrated by Michael Teller Ornelas and written by Takuma Okada. In her words:

"The Tidewrack deck is a collection from the edge of land and sea. It draws from the beach, a place full of life and constant change, where dead things come to rest and lost things can be found again. Tidewrack is a deck about memories of the beach, but it's also about being trans, being an immigrant, and struggling to find a place to belong. Use it in play to bring the ocean, liminal spaces, and transition into your story."

at night the sand glitters:

socks soaked through,

I carry you on my back

busy corpses host many parties

and swell up from

feeling important

in winter, the sea foam

fell like snow on our garden

in unrelenting assault
