The kickstarter stretch goal to Spindlewheel, "Folk Engine" is an expansion pack of 15 cards that explores modern plays on folkloric classics, written and illustrated by Caro Asercion. In their words:

“Spindlewheel breathes new life into familiar archetypes, drawing from the world of folklore, of fable, of fairy tale. But as the world spins forward, so too do our stories. Like the core deck, this supplement finds its roots in folk tales, but it kneads at them, pulling them toward the future. A touch more modern - though by no means less fantastical.
